ACW is home to a vibrant community of channel professionals from across the country. We enjoy getting to know them at our in-person events and are happy to introduce you to them in this recurring Membership Matters Q&A. This month, we’re getting to know Courtney Cox, Director of Inside Sales at Intelisys, which provides access to the hardware, software, connectivity and cloud services businesses need to support a hybrid workplace.
Cox’s channel career started more than eight years ago, which eventually led to her current role in inside sales eight months ago. There, she took the reins of Intelisys’ new inside sales channel program.
Why did you join ACW Local Chapters Committee?
To help build out the presence of ACW in Greenville, S.C. We have so many women in our area who work in the channel.
What have been some highlights of being part of your local chapter?
So far, I’ve enjoyed getting to work alongside one of my long-time friends and one of the first people I met in the industry, Kimberly Bunnell!
What do you get from your committee participation?
I am learning from the amazing women who have come before me in this organization!
Why should members get involved in a Local Chapters or another ACW Committee?
Grow your tribe! Let’s support other women in our local communities who want to network, learn and promote women in our industry.
How long have you been in the channel?
Eight years.
If you were to give yourself advice when you graduated from high school, what would it be?
Don’t compare your success to anyone else! Everyone has their own story; only yours is your responsibility.
What’s the best book – fiction or nonfiction – that you’ve read recently and why?
“Atomic Habits” by James Clear. It has helped me realize how small, incremental changes in both your personal and professional life can add up to be something huge. A 1 percent change in the right direction per day makes you 37 times better in a year!
What are your hobbies outside of work?
- Walking and running with my dog
- Interior decorating and home improvement projects
- Being Aunt Coco to two wonderful little humans (Cooper and Emmie)
