Alliance of Channel Women is highlighting women who are Living the ACW Pledge: Women Supporting Women. We’re seeking nominations from the channel community for women – from the mailroom to the boardroom – who embody the oath in their words and actions.
Theresa Caragol, Founder and CEO of AchieveUnite, was nominated by Jasmina Muller, Vice President of Global Channel Partnerships at Everbridge.
In what way(s) is your nominee an example of Living the ACW Pledge of women supporting women?
When I first met Theresa in 2018 at the ACW Channel Partners event in Las Vegas, she was the moderator of a panel discussion I was participating in – we all felt empowered by the way she engaged the room and embraced us on the panel. Since then, we have become excellent friends. She has supported me in my personal life and professional career, helping me balance both as a mom and executive.
What is a specific example of what she did for you and when it happened?
I reached out to her to learn more about how she was successful in her channel career and what she had accomplished to be such a great advocate for women. Along the way, I had an opportunity to grow in my career. She was right there by my side the entire way, guiding me, supporting me, and giving me insight on what to expect as I grow.
What impact did her action have on you and/or your career?
The one thing I will always remember was from a conversation we had. Theresa remembered a time when she was growing in her career and received support from a mentor. They told her that she would be in their position one day and have the opportunity to give support, leadership, and insight to another. And, when that day came, Theresa should do what they did and PAY IT FORWARD. As women, we tend to fear other women’s success and even desire to take credit over things that we should be accomplishing together – not against one another. We should support each other, celebrate our aspirations, and empower each other to get us past the challenges we all face. PAY IT FORWARD!
