Alliance of Channel Women is highlighting women who are Living the ACW Pledge: Women Supporting Women. We’re seeking nominations from the channel community for women – from the mailroom to the boardroom – who embody the oath in their words and actions.
Melinda Ann O’Neill, Director of Strategic Accounts at Tanium, was nominated by Audrey Salas, Senior Channel Integration Manager at Windstream.
In what way(s) is your nominee an example of Living the ACW Advocacy Pledge of women supporting women?
Every Alliance of Channel Women member is probably in direct competition with each other regarding our careers. Despite knowing this information, it does not deter Melinda from helping others and giving them the spotlight in our Chapter. When a member shares information on LinkedIn about their company, there is NO hesitation on Melinda’s part to share the post with her direct connections.
What Melinda does in helping others is just who she is at her core. It reflects in her personal life, and you can feel her genuine love and kindness for others.
When our Chapter meets, it ends up being a fun and exciting time. But this is only possible by the leadership she displays to all of us.
What is a specific example of what she did for you and when it happened?
Melinda and I met at Channel Partners Conference & Expo in Vegas in April 2022. She was excited to start the Michigan Chapter, but I wasn’t sure if I wanted to be an active member due to work obligations. However, when I shared ideas about what we could do for the Chapter, she was open and receptive to implementing some of my thoughts. Being heard felt good!
What impact did her action have on you and/or your career?
Melinda has taught me not to be hesitant in cheering my fellow ACW members on by commenting, liking and sharing their posts.
