How Khali Henderson is Living the ACW Pledge: Women Supporting Women

Mar 2, 2021

Alliance of Channel Women is highlighting women who are Living the ACW Pledge: Women Supporting Women. We’re seeking nominations from the channel community for women – from the mailroom to the boardroom – who embody the oath in their words and actions.

Khali Henderson, a Senior Partner at BuzzTheory, was nominated by Morgan Granfield, Senior Channel Sales Manager at Digital Realty.

In what way(s) is your nominee an example of Living the ACW Pledge of women supporting women?

Khali has been foundational in my, and countless others’, success in the channel. A force of wisdom and skill, she is among the most accomplished people in the industry by any standard, and yet, she gives relentlessly to ACW, its members, and many other organizations that support growing diversity in STEM careers.

What is a specific example of what she did for you and when it happened?

For a couple of years, Khali supported my growth in the communications committee by taking her time to teach me countless new tools:  Canva, WordPress, MailChimp, and many others. Then, in 2017, she recommended that I join her as co-chair of the communications committee – a position I never would’ve felt qualified for by my own opinion.

What impact did her action have on you and/or your career?

That offer to join her in leading the team has helped me personally and professionally in many ways. Above all else, I’ve witnessed first hand how much more we can accomplish when we have someone in our corner who recognizes our potential and encourages us to reach beyond our comfort zone and grow!
