Alliance of Channel Women is highlighting women who are Living the ACW Pledge: Women Supporting Women. We’re seeking nominations from the channel community for women – from the mailroom to the boardroom – who embody the oath in their words and actions.

In what way(s) is your nominee an example of Living the ACW Advocacy Pledge of women supporting women?
Lita is a constant cheerleader for the women on our team, always building up our confidence with a smiling face to support us in our latest endeavors. She is a critical part of our team but always stays humble and doesn’t take credit where credit is due. She is a true leader!
What is a specific example of what she did for you and when it happened?
When a team member that was supporting me left the organization, Lita stepped in, no questions asked, and took on the roles and responsibilities without missing a beat.
What impact did her action have on you and/or your career?
Since I’m new to my current role, losing the team member could have been detrimental to our partner relationship, but due to her willingness to support me, we were able to keep our cadence with the partner without any negative impact.
How Lita Vernick is Living the Pledge to Vivian Chavez:
In what way(s) is your nominee an example of Living the ACW Advocacy Pledge of women supporting women?
Lita is a true champion for other women. She consistently encourages women in our organization to take the time to celebrate their success, all while being humble in her own accomplishments. She is consistent in her methods of supporting women in our organization by cheering us on, celebrating women’s success, and sharing our stories both internally and externally.
What is a specific example of what she did for you and when it happened?
Lita takes time to listen and uplift other women by being 100% present in the moment. She has a very calming approach to any conversation, and she is never judgmental. One thing she says to other women, including myself, is “don’t be sorry” or “no need to say sorry.” As simple as that sounds, we can all take that lesson and apply it.
What impact did her action have on you and/or your career?
Lita’s constant support of other women is selfless! She never asks for anything in return and is a true professional. She reminds me and so many others to put ourselves first but also to be humble.
How Lita Vernick is Living the Pledge to Dalyn Wertz:
In what way(s) is your nominee an example of Living the ACW Advocacy Pledge of women supporting women?
Lita exemplifies the ACW advocacy pledge. As a leader on the Comcast Business team, she has spent the last ten years ensuring women are supported, coached, mentored and successful. She is constantly reaching out to show support, offer guidance and coaching. She goes out of her way to ensure new women joining the team have all the detail and tools necessary to do their jobs successfully and understand the team dynamics. Lita is kind; she is caring and puts everyone on the team before herself. Lita is what makes the Indirect Program and team so unique and successful.
What is a specific example of what she did for you and when it happened?
Lita and I have a bond and pact. We are always looking out for one another. As one of the team’s Senior Leaders, I know I am in a safe space when I can ask for her feedback after I present or in a meeting so she can provide me feedback on how to improve. Many times, being the only woman is critical to success. Lita is confident and strong and holds us all up when we need it most.
What impact did her action have on you and/or your career?
Lita is why I am successful. Lita is why the Comcast program is successful. She is always putting the team first; she is always going above and beyond to ensure everyone has what they need and everything is clear. Lita has all our backs. She is authentic and has a heart of gold. She is creative and the best at what she does. I would not be where I am without Lita and I mean that professionally and personally. I am so grateful she is in my life and on our team. Everyone is better knowing Lita!
