Alliance of Channel Women is highlighting women who are Living the ACW Pledge: Women Supporting Women. We’re seeking nominations from the channel community for women – from the mailroom to the boardroom – who embody the oath in their words and actions.
Laura Riebschlager, Director of Partner Success at Ostra Cybersecurity, was nominated by Mel Kolinski, Director of Strategic Partnerships at Ostra Cybersecurity.
In what way(s) is your nominee an example of Living the ACW Advocacy Pledge of women supporting women?
I have known Laura for over a decade, and she has always been supportive of other women. Recently, I had the pleasure of working with her once again. She fosters relationships with other women within our company and is very supportive of those of us who are newer to the company and business.
What is a specific example of what she did for you and when it happened?
As a recent addition to the Ostra team and newer to Cyber Security, I felt a little overwhelmed. Laura took me under her wing and spent extra time with me to help me feel more comfortable with our services. She has helped me to navigate our processes and helped set me up to be successful in my new role.
What impact did her action have on you and/or your career?
Her kindness and genuine dedication to my success have given me a boost in confidence in an industry that is newer to me. While I have years of sales experience, none of it has been in tech. Her support for others around her is inspiring and brings the team closer together.
