Alliance of Channel Women is highlighting women who are Living the ACW Pledge: Women Supporting Women. We’re seeking nominations from the channel community for women – from the mailroom to the boardroom – who embody the oath in their words and actions.
Dani Foy, Regional Vice President of Channel Sales at Xcitium, was nominated by Emily Lowe, Channel Coordinator at Thrive.
In what way(s) is your nominee an example of Living the ACW Advocacy Pledge of women supporting women?
Dani set up an event for Breast Cancer Awareness and benefit for Jacqueline Duffy in her fight against breast cancer. She drove up attendance and even included Kendra Scott, who donated 20% of the proceeds to Jacqueline. The event was important to me as a woman supporting another woman. The amount of thought and planning that went into the event made it successful and made someone who is struggling feel better at a time when things may feel hopeless.
What is a specific example of what she did for you and when it happened?
It was specifically for Jacqueline Duffy. It made me feel like the channel community cares about one another.
What impact did her action have on you and/or your career?
Dani’s actions gave me the confidence to push the envelope and try new things to help others within our community.
