Alliance of Channel Women is highlighting women who are Living the ACW Pledge: Women Supporting Women. We’re seeking nominations from the channel community for women – from the mailroom to the boardroom – who embody the oath in their words and actions.
Ashley Rowland, Partner at Adaptiv Advisors, was nominated by Hans Schmid, President at Audible Business.
In what way(s) is your nominee an example of Living the ACW Advocacy Pledge of women supporting women?
Ashley started Recurring Raise and the Technology Advisor Alliance. A number of the members are women. I have seen her advocate for them and lift them up as examples, including MaryTom Hofer, who I have also nominated.
What is a specific example of what she did for you and when it happened?
Ashley taught me so much it’s hard to point to one thing. The most significant thing she did for me was infect me with her enthusiasm for being a channel partner. The other was modeling and affirming that one can be a successful partner without having to sell the full stack the channel offers.
These two things helped me relax, see that building my agency is something I can and should do, and showed me I could get where I want to go with help from the many supportive people in the channel.
What impact did her action have on you and/or your career?
She has given me a significant boost as a channel partner. I expect she’s done the same for others.
