Join the ACW 2027-28 Board of Directors

Alliance of Channel Women is looking for channel leaders to join its Board of Directors for the next two years, beginning in January 2027. There are five board seats open for the next term.

This is a great opportunity to influence the direction of our organization, innovate with programs that will empower women in their tech channel careers and invest in building your leadership skills while positively impacting the channel community.

The ACW Nominating Committee will review all applications, and final candidates will be voted upon by the ACW membership body. Selected candidates will be notified no later than mid-November 2026.

ACW BOARD ELECTION PROCESS

Eligible candidates must nominate themselves.
Candidates must complete and submit the application within the stated timeline. They also must acknowledge via signature having reviewed the ACW Board Eligibility Requirements and Responsibilities below.
ACW Nominating Committee members will review each application for completeness and eligibility.
ACW members will vote on the eligible candidates.
New ACW Board Members will start their term in January of the following year.

ACW BOARD ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible for election to the ACW Board of Directors, applicants must meet all of the following requirements at the time of application.

Employment in Information Technology
Applicants must be currently or previously employed within the Information Technology (IT) Industry.

For the purposes of ACW Board eligibility, the IT Industry includes organizations that develop, market, distribute, sell, implement, support or influence technology solutions through indirect sales and partner ecosystems. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Technology manufacturers and vendors
- Managed Service Providers (MSPs)
- Value-Added Resellers (VARs)
- Systems Integrators
- Technology Distributors/Technology Services Distributors (TSDs)
- Cloud, cybersecurity, communications and infrastructure providers
- Technology consultants and advisory firms
- Organizations whose primary role is enabling, supporting or growing the partner ecosystem, including channel sales, channel marketing, partner success, alliances and related functions
Active ACW Membership
Applicants must be a current member in good standing with the Alliance of Channel Women at the time of application and throughout their Board term.

Demonstrated Volunteer Leadership
Applicants must demonstrate sustained volunteer engagement with ACW by meeting one of the following criteria:
- Option A: Actively participate on an ACW Committee for a minimum of two (2) consecutive years.
- Option B: Serve as a Committee Chair or Committee Co-Chair for a minimum of one (1) year.
- Option C: Serve as the Leader or Co-Leader of an ACW Local Chapter for a minimum of one (1) year.

Volunteer service should demonstrate meaningful contribution, consistent participation and a commitment to advancing ACW's mission.

Meeting the eligibility requirements does not guarantee nomination or election to the Board of Directors. The Nominating Committee will evaluate all applicants to verify eligibility to be on the ballot.

ACW BOARD RESPONSIBILITIES
Serving on the ACW Board of Directors is both an honor and a commitment. Board members are expected to contribute to the strategic direction, governance and long-term success of the organization while representing the interests of ACW and its members.

Board members are expected to actively fulfill the responsibilities of a director throughout their term, including:

Attending regularly scheduled Board meetings
Participating in strategic planning and governance activities
Making every reasonable effort to attend the annual in-person Board retreat. If attendance in person is not possible, Board members are expected to commit to participating virtually for the duration of the retreat whenever feasible
Serving as an ambassador for ACW within the Information Technology industry
Supporting ACW programs, initiatives and events
Acting in accordance with ACW's Bylaws, policies, fiduciary responsibilities and Code of Conduct

Board service requires an ongoing commitment of time, engagement and collaboration. Directors are expected to communicate proactively regarding attendance and participation when conflicts arise.
