Women in the Channel President Nancy Ridge Honored As Silver Stevie® Award Winner in 2015 American Business Awards

Winners in first of two ABA awards events were presented on June 22 in Chicago

Nancy-With-MedalJune 23, 2015 – Santa Ana, CA – Women in the Channel President Nancy Ridge was presented with a Silver Stevie® Award in the Executive of the Year – Non-Profit or Government Organizations category in The 13th Annual American Business Awards in Chicago last night. Ridge co-founded Women in the Channel (WiC), a not for profit organization dedicated to accelerating the growth of female channel leaders in technology, while holding the position Vice President at Telecom Brokers, a full service Master Agency in the U.S.

The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word meaning “crowned,” the awards were presented to winners during a gala banquet on Monday, June 22 at the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park Hotel. More than 400 nominees and their guests attended.

Last night’s awards were presented in two ceremonies, before and after dinner. The after-dinner presentation were broadcast live nationwide by BizTalkRadio. The pre-dinner presentations were taped and will be broadcast by BizTalkRadio this Thursday June 25 at 8:00 pm ET.

The 2015 American Business Awards will be presented at two awards events: Monday’s banquet in Chicago, and at the new products awards banquet on Friday, September 11 in San Francisco.

More than 3,300 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Startup of the Year, Executive of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Marketing Campaign of the Year, Live Event of the Year, and Human Resources Department of the Year, among others. Nancy Ridge was nominated in the Executive of the Year category for Non-Profit or Government Organizations.

More than 200 executives worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners.

Nancy Ridge has served national and key accounts in the telecommunications and utility industries for 20 years, serving in senior management positions. She was principal of a successful demand side energy services company for 10 years. A leader in the energy management industry, Nancy served on the Los Angeles Board for the Association of Professional Energy Managers and signed multi-million dollar energy retrofit projects with Fortune 1000 companies. Nancy joined Telecom Brokers in 2005 with a vision for creating a strong network of successful agents, engaged vendor partners and high performing employees. Focusing on building authentic relationships while automating the processes created an environment for growth of over 300%. As a Board Member for Channel Partners in 2010-2011 and a co-founder of the “Women in the Channel” telecommunications group, Nancy is active in shaping the telecom channel as a leader in the industry.
