August 11, 2014 – Los Angeles, CA – Women in the Channel (WiC), a not for profit organization dedicated to accelerating the growth of female channel leaders in technology, today announced that it is hosting its 8th Women in the Channel Networking and Enrichment Event at the Cloud Partners Conference & Expo. This event will be held on September 7th, 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM CDT at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside in the River / Port / Starboard Ballroom.
As with every Women in the Channel (WiC) event, there will be plenty of time for cocktails and networking, followed promptly by our enrichment program.
The event, sponsored by Channel Partners, GENBAND, MicroCorp, and TelePacific Communications, and raffle sponsor, Telarus, is a volunteer organized evening and includes an hour of networking with a hosted bar followed by great education sessions sure to inspire.
In honor of our exemplary membership we will be hosting a “Women in Leadership” panel discussion highlighting four members working in leadership roles within the channel. Nicole Hayward, WiC board member and Vice President of Marketing for OnSIP, will moderate the panel discussion. Each of the panelists will share where they have been and where they are headed as women in leadership roles, and what they think the challenges and opportunities are for future generations of women leaders. Speakers are Lori Bonenfant, Vice President of Channel Marketing for Corporate, Medium and Indirect sales, Verizon Enterprise Solutions; Crystal Farley, Vice President, Channel Sales, Windstream; Karin Fields, President and CEO, MicroCorp; and Donna Wenk, Senior Vice President, Agent channel and Strategic partnerships, Broadview Networks.
Following the panel discussion, we will hear from Hilary Gadda, WiC board member and Director of Channel sales for TelePacific Communications and Nancy Ridge, WiC President and Vice President of Telecom Brokers. Hilary will share “Dream IT,” a program to encourage young women and women reentering the workforce to choose careers in telecommunications and IT. Nancy will provide an update on WiC along with a glimpse into the organization’s future.
The evening will be emceed by Bita Milanian, WiC board member and Senior Vice President of Marketing Communications at GENBAND and Raquel Wiley, Channel Marketing for TelePacific Communications.
“We expect more than one hundred women in attendance from across the country,” said Nancy Ridge, Vice President of Telecom Brokers and standing WiC President. “Every event draws more attendees which is a testament to the consistent caliber of the evening’s programming and speakers.”
The Women in the Channel Networking Event is open to all women attending Cloud Partners Conference & Expo. Attendees must register for the event here; it is free to all WiC members and $20 for non-members.
