ACW joined a throng of tech organizations that have moved their canceled events online, hosting its first-ever virtual ACWConnect Live! on March 25th.
Celebrating 10 Years of Empowering Channel Women
The event was emceed by ACW Board Member Lisa Miller, President, Wholesale, Indirect and Alliances, CenturyLink, who kicked off the event by thanking ACW’s founding women for the inspiration and leadership that has served the organization well for its first decade. She also challenged members to consider the next 10 years and “to dream big”!
Strategies for Extraordinary Times
Sponsorship Chair Jasmina Muller, Vice President of North American Channels at Everbridge, lead a discussion with channel leaders from Diamond Sponsors MicroCorp, CenturyLink and Telarus, who shared their strategies for leading during the pandemic.
ACW President Amy Baily, Vice President of Marketing for Telarus, delivered an inspiring keynote with advice that’s perfect for the times:
- Be Willing to Zag!
- Use the Handrail
- Stop to Enjoy the View
- Follow Your Gut
- Always Give Back
Bailey also reminded us that no woman is an island, reciting the now-familiar refrain: “Behind every successful woman is a tribe of other successful women who have her back.”
Kris Blackmon, Senior Director of Content for Channel Futures, also gave us a preview of the big news: Channel Partners Conference & Expo is reset for Sept. 8-10, 2020, in Las Vegas. ACWConnect Live! will kick off the event as usual. Stay tuned for details.
ACW announced that it is working on two networking opportunities:
- Opt-in Networking – authorize ACW to share your contact info with other members. To opt in, log into your ACW Member Portal, click on My Account and check “Share my contact info with other members.”
- ACW Communities – In partnership with 8×8, ACW is going to facilitate virtual meetups to help members connect while practicing social distancing. A calendar of ACW Communities MeetUps will be made available to members. Stay tuned for more information next month.
