Alliance of Channel Women is highlighting women who are Living the ACW Pledge: Women Supporting Women. We’re seeking nominations from the channel community for women – from the mailroom to the boardroom – who embody the oath in their words and actions.
Lynn Williams, Director of Community and Strategic Partnerships at The ASCII Group, was nominated by Robyn Miller, Community Engagement Manager at The ASCII Group.
In what way(s) is your nominee an example of Living the ACW Advocacy Pledge of women supporting women?
Lynn has been a team player who consistently encourages the membership team and me, always letting us know she appreciates us and our support. She has progressed in positions from Senior Event Manager to Senior Community Development Manager and, this past year, took on Director of Community and Strategic Partnerships. Since then, our membership growth has grown by double digits in 2021, and she always credits the team effort!
What is a specific example of what she did for you and when it happened?
Lynn always looks out for our team members and me as co-workers and friends. She empowers and encourages me so that my contributions to the team are essential for the team’s overall success.
What impact did her action have on you and/or your career?
I love my job because I know we are a good team, and we respect each other. With a cheerleader who cares about you as a person and co-worker, you can’t ask for more.
