How Alexis Keller is Living the ACW Pledge: Women Supporting Women

Nov 28, 2022

Alliance of Channel Women is highlighting women who are Living the ACW Pledge: Women Supporting Women. We’re seeking nominations from the channel community for women – from the mailroom to the boardroom – who embody the oath in their words and actions.

Alexis Keller, Relationship Manager at Root23 Agency, was nominated by Jordyn Cordner, Copywriter at Root23 Agency.

In what way(s) is your nominee an example of Living the ACW Advocacy Pledge of women supporting women?
Alexis is always happy to advise me, a younger woman working in her industry, and is consistently supportive in her words and empowering in her guidance.

What is a specific example of what she did for you and when it happened?

I had left a client interaction feeling unsure of myself and slightly defeated by how the exchange went, which I relayed to her. Alexis called immediately and offered me guidance for dealing with the client. She reassured me about the interaction and told me her own stories of feeling unsure when dealing with men in a male-dominated field. Most of all, she taught me how she overcame those feelings, leading to immense success today.

What impact did her action have on you and/or your career?

I took her words to heart and have since had much more success in my client interactions. I felt comforted knowing I was not alone in these feelings of uncertainty and that successful women like Alexis have overcome these feelings too. It gave me a more positive outlook on my career and actionable ideas for dealing with these insecurities and challenges both in the moment and in the future.
