Alliance of Channel Women (ACW) was ranked among the top LinkedIn Groups for the channel in a new Forrester ranking of social media groups for MSPs, VARs and tech channel professionals.
It’s no surprise that social media use increased significantly in 2020 due to the pandemic. Companies are flooding social feeds with their products and services, creating a noisy, competitive landscape. Channel-specific social groups are now even more crucial than before.
“Many partners rank visibility and community involvement highest of their criteria for vendor partnership — even higher than product, pricing, programs, or margin potential,” says Jay McBain, Principal Analyst at Forrester.
These communities allow members to collaborate and share experiences, thereby building relationships between events, especially during the pandemic where there weren’t any in-person events.
Forrester researched various social platforms, group features and user behavior to create the top 143 social media groups list for channel professionals. The list is divided up by platform and ranked by member size, with the most extensive list being from LinkedIn. ACW’s LinkedIn Group is ranked at number 35 with 2,621 members. (Note: We’ve gained a few since then!)
